Before the assembly elections, the government had sought proposals of Rs 15 crore each from all the MLAs. Most of the members gave proposals for bridges and roads. These were included in the budget but only a symbolic provision was made for the amount. In the budget for the year 2024-25, roads of 3,668 km length costing Rs 5,000 crore were included.

Departmental officials say that the limit of Rs 3 thousand crores of the Central Road Fund has also been included in the bank of sanctions.

It is proposed to arrange the money from Scheduled Caste-Tribe Sub Plan, Mineral Area Development Fund, Central Regional Scheme, Special Central Assistance.
