KOLKATA: In a pre-dawn swoop on Thursday, a Delhi police crew raided a home in Tamluk, East Midnapore, and arrested Mohammad Farhid alias Neetu, a key accused within the communal riots in Delhi’s Jahangipuri space on Hanuman Jayanti. Crime department personnel traced the accused by monitoring the situation of his cellphone.
Farid was hiding at his aunt’s home the place he took refuge after the communal discord. He was produced in a Tamluk courtroom and remanded to transit remand. The Delhi police crew left Kolkata in a flight on Thursday night.
