Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, suspected militants Friday lobbed a grenade on a police get together at Dedpath village close to Sinthantop on the Kishtwar-Chatroo nationwide freeway, which connects Kashmir Valley with the hilly Kishtwar district in Chenab Valley area.
While a policeman suffered a minor harm, there have been no reviews of another injury because the grenade missed the meant goal and exploded on the roadside. It has been after practically seven months that militants have made their presence felt in Chenab Valley area because the police and safety forces had killed two militants within the adjoining Doda district’s Gundna space in May final.
Kishtwar SSP Dr Harmeet Singh Mehta stated that the police get together on a car had been on patrol from Kishtwar to Chatroo when a grenade was lobbed on it close to Dedpath. “There has been no loss of life as grenade missed the target,” he stated, including that the police have registered an FIR and launched searches within the space.
