    Chief Secretary Shri R.P. A meeting of the Department of Food and Cooperation was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan here today under the chairmanship of the Board. Discussions were made in the meeting regarding smooth procurement in respect of paddy purchase starting from December 1. Shri Mandal has instructed to take all necessary actions, setting a week’s time for setting up new centers for paddy procurement as per requirement. Instructions have also been given to construct platforms for paddy collection in all the paddy procurement centers of the state by the end of this month. Shri Mandal has specifically instructed to take necessary steps to control illegal transportation and illegal sale and purchase of paddy. By the end of this month, he has given instructions to the departmental officers to make all the arrangements necessary for the purchase of paddy. The meeting was also discussed in relation to the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. Including protection of plantations,
