    NEW DELHI: Hollywood star Kristen Dunst says the “Spider-Man” films maintain a particular place in her coronary heart as they gave her the freedom to do movies that she preferred and the actor hopes when her children develop up they’re as pleased with the movies as she is.

    Dunst and her companion, actor Jesse Plemons, share two sons — Ennis Howard Plemons (three) and James Robert (six months).

    The 39-year-old actor, who appeared as Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi-directed three movies based mostly on the comedian e book superhero — “Spider-Man” (2002), “Spider-Man 2” (2004) and “Spider-Man 3” (2007) — reverse Toby Maguire, mentioned the films marked an enormous shift in her profession.

    “The opportunity of ‘Spider-Man’ movies gave me so much in terms of being able to pick and choose films that I wanted to be in or being in more independent films. I loved making those movies and that was like a huge transfer,” Dunst informed PTI.

    “It’s a huge thing to be a part of. I hope my kids think it’s cool one day. I hope they’re not embarrassed by it,” she added.

    Dunst began her appearing profession as a toddler artiste, starring in movies like “Interview with the Vampire”, “Little Women” and Jumanji”.

    She rose to prominence as a lead star with the “Spider-Man” movie collection and “Marie Antoinette” and “Virgin Suicides” by Sofia Coppola.

    The actor went on to provide acclaimed performances in films “The Beguiled”, “Melancholia”, “The Two Faces of January” and “Hidden Figures”.

    Her newest outing is the Netflix film “The Power of the Dog”, directed by Academy Award-winning writer-filmmaker Jane Campion.

    In her over three-decades-long profession, Dunst mentioned her goal has at all times been to grab the chance and profit from it.

    “It’s like seizing the opportunities that I’m given and doing the best I can with it, because like I haven’t worked since ‘The Power’, and I’m going to go back to work in February, but I’ve had a lot of opportunities to be with my children. I guess, (I’m) making sure that I have a good balance for myself,” she mentioned.

    Going forward, the actor hopes to proceed telling tales which she finds “special”.

    “I need to do issues that I feel contribute to movie and contribute to that artwork.

    So I simply hope I’m in a position to proceed being a part of issues that I really feel might be particular for me and for individuals who watch,” she added.
