  • Man crushed to dying below public urinal in London

    A person was crushed to dying below a public urinal in London’s Theatre district on Friday. The space surrounding the Palace Theatre, which is presently exhibiting Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has been cordoned off.

    By India Today Web Desk: A person putting in a telescopic urinal, a kind of public bathroom within the UK, was crushed to dying in London’s Theatre district on Friday.

    The Metropolitan Police in an announcement stated the person sustained crush accidents whereas engaged on a telescopic urinal. The police stated that regardless of the efforts of emergency providers, he was pronounced useless on the scene.

    Shortly after 1 pm (UK time) the London Fire Brigade (LFB) was referred to as in to rescue the person trapped under road stage beneath a hydraulic urinal at Cambridge Circus, the Guardian reported.

    Firefighters used a winch to free the person after practically two hours of rescue operations. But he died of accidents sustained after being crushed by the open-air urinals.

    “We’re sorry to have to update that, despite the efforts of emergency services, the man who was critically injured in Cambridge Circus was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed,” Metropolitan Police tweeted.

    The space surrounding the Palace Theatre, which is presently exhibiting Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has been cordoned off, Metro reported.

    The retractable public urinals are dotted all through London’s leisure districts, saved under floor throughout the day and raised at night time.
