During a conversation with the state’s Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, the MLAs of Gwalior-Chambal division called the Atal Jyoti Yojana a fraud on the public. The MLAs complained that forget about 24-hour power supply, the villagers are not even getting electricity for four hours. During the conversation, more BJP MLAs than Congress MLAs raised questions on this scheme.
There is no electricity in the village for 4 days
The MLAs asked the Energy Minister that how will things work like this? In many villages, there is no electricity for four days. Transformers get blown up a day after installation. This should be investigated. During this, Dabra MLA Suresh Raje said that the condition of Atal Jyoti Yojana is very bad. MLAs from Datia, Bhind, Gwalior, Dabra, Morena, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Guna, Ashoknagar attended the meeting. During this, it was said that people are troubled by complaints of tripping and transformer failure. How long will this continue?
Increase the capacity of the transformer
On this, Energy Minister Tomar said that if the damaged and burnt transformers fall in the eligibility category, they will be replaced immediately. Officers were instructed to increase the capacity of the transformers by getting technical tests done for the overloaded and burnt transformers every time and by checking the approved load.
Forest and Environment Minister Ramniwas Rawat was also present in the meeting. The minister informed the MLAs that for getting the transformer replaced, consumers can dial 1912 and register their complaint. Energy Minister told the officials to minimise tripping. Energy Minister Tomar warned the electricity company officials that maintenance should be done effectively so that tripping is minimised and there is no scope for fault. He reviewed the 132 kV electrical sub-station under construction in the city and said that the work of this sub-station should be completed soon.
He asked to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply to the industries. The Energy Minister said this in a meeting of electricity officials of Gwalior and Chambal divisions held in the auditorium of Triple ITM. He instructed to organize Chaupals in rural areas and public dialogue programs in urban areas to maintain communication with the public.
