  • Rapid Metro Expansion: Gurugram Iffco Chowk to Link Faridabad, Noida

Wednesday’s Haryana Assembly session blended confrontation with forward-looking announcements, as CM Nayab Singh Saini confirmed the Rapid Metro extension from Gurugram to Faridabad and Noida. This RRTS corridor promises a connectivity leapfrog for the region.

Question hour erupted with 20 demands from opposition benches, charging the government with detaining activists. Saini refuted vehemently, asserting no house arrests and inviting protests at Chandigarh’s designated Sector 25 site.

Detailing the February 24 approval, the CM noted Haryana’s 52-km share, starting at Iffco Chowk, merging with local metro, and weaving in Faridabad’s 16-km segment. Project documentation is underway to accelerate this transformative infrastructure.

Saini tackled inter-state crime via a shared secretariat, with Amit Shah’s oversight through the Manas system for anonymous tips and responses. Anti-drug efforts enlist khap elders and saints, confronting supply chains from beyond borders.

Capping the session, Saini vowed property rights for Chachrauli’s longstanding residents. From 1887, this state land has supported unauthorized yet rooted communities, with faith built through 2020 registrations. Surveys will affirm their ownership, safeguarding futures against bureaucratic oversights.
