    JAGATSINGHPUR:  The National Commission of Scheduled Tribes (NCST), on Wednesday, issued summons to Jagatsinghpur Collector Parul Patwari to seem earlier than it on June 2, 2022 for non-compliance of its order on non-issuance of caste certificates to a tribal villager of Odisso village underneath Jagatsinghpur tehsil.

    As per sources, the tribals of Odisso belong to a sub-caste ‘Matya’, and thru their caste certificates, can avail advantages and job affords. The NCST directed collector Jagatsinghpur to conduct an inquiry and requested the administration to submit a report inside 15 days after receiving the letter. But the Commission didn’t get a reply. Earlier, Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi had directed the Chief Secretary to take acceptable motion concerning the problem of caste certificates to almost 300 individuals from tribal communities of Odisso village underneath Jagatsinghpur tehsil final April. But no motion was taken on the matter.
