An assistant sub-inspector of police was on Tuesday suspended after a video exhibiting 5 cops, together with a girl dwelling guard, in uniform dancing to the tunes of a preferred Odia music inside a police station in Odisha’s Jajpur district has gone viral on social media, an officer stated.
In the video, the faces and uniforms of the dancing police personnel are smeared in colors whereas different workers of the Panikoili police station are seen clapping and cheering the 5.
The incident which violated guidelines could have taken place on the event of the Holi pageant, Superintendent of Police Rahul PR stated.
ASI Sanjay Dash was positioned underneath suspension after preliminary inquiry, he stated.

“We have launched a probe and action will be taken against the other police personnel involved in the incident on the basis of the inquiry report,” the SP stated.
An unidentified particular person captured the video and posted it on social media.
