    To tackle the increased passenger volume on Raksha Bandhan on Monday (August 19), the Delhi Metro will have additional standby trains available on its routes, ready to be deployed if needed to handle the higher demand. On to cater the rush, if required.”

    “DMRC will also deploy additional personnel at stations to cater to the extra rush of commuters by operating additional ticket counters,” the post said. “Passengers are requested to use mobile Apps ie DMRC Momentum, WhatsApp, Paytm, one Delhi, and Amazon to buy QR tickets online to avoid the rush at ticket counters or to buy National Common Mobility Card / Smart Card from Customer care centres,” said the DMRC.

    It further said that guards and Customer Facilitation Agents (CFA) will be deployed at major Metro stations to help and guide commuters on the day. Every year, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated with much exuberance and great festivity in India. The festival cherishes the strong bond between brothers and sisters.

Before the program, the CM planted a sapling under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. In the program, Ladli sisters tied a huge Rakhi to Dr Mohan Yadav. The Chief Minister gave a gift of Rs 250 on Rakshabandhan. He said that Rs 250 will be given in addition to Rs 1250. Ladli sisters will also get a gas cylinder worth Rs 450.

    Programs in many districts from today till 17 August

    He will participate in programmes in 11 districts. Chief Minister’s gratitude gift programme will be held from 1st to 17th August in 11 districts namely Singrauli (Chitrangi), Satna, Damoh (Jabera), Narsinghpur, Balaghat, Mandla, Betul (Bhainsdehi), Sheopur, Tikamgarh, Anuppur and Dindori.

    Swings were set up for the Laadli sisters at the venue. Saplings were planted in the programmes under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. Former MLA Kalpana Verma was put under house arrest. She wanted to raise the issues of Jhandapur tribal families during the visit of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to Chitrakoot, but the police put her under house arrest before the meeting.
