He was returning home late at night after meeting his friend. Then a speeding Swift car coming from behind hit him near Rameshwari Gate. Seriously injured Rahul was admitted to JP Hospital, where he died at around 1.30 am late night.

    His elder brother Ashok Singh said that Rahul was doing PhD from MANIT after doing MTech. He wanted to become a professor after doing PhD. His father has also been a professor in a reputed college in Bhopal. He retired two years ago.

All were discharged from the hospital after treatment. On receiving the information of the incident, Wahid’s relatives came to Bhopal at night itself. After the post-mortem on Friday, the police handed over Wahid’s body to his relatives.
