Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that work on the multi-purpose Ken-Betwa link national project will start soon. The disagreement between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh over water sharing will be resolved soon. The state government will put its side firmly in front of the center. Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed the Ken-Betwa Linga Project with officials on Friday. He said former prime minister late. The work of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s river-linking campaign will be started soon by removing the deadlock of the multipurpose Ken-Betwa Link National Project in sequence.
He said that the project is being delayed due to lack of consensus on seasonal water sharing between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh has given 700 mm of water for Rabi crops and drinking water from the project to Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, we had agreed to give water, for which we are still ready. In this regard, the side of Madhya Pradesh will be put firmly before the Government of India.
