Navdunia representative, Bhopal. In Chanakyapuri of Ayodhya Nagar area on Sunday night, a spark came out from an electric pole and a blast occurred and a fire broke out. Hearing the sound, the residents came out of their houses and saw flames coming out of the pole. This atmosphere of panic lasted for 20 minutes and then the power went off. The residents informed the electricity company.
The team reached the spot but could not do any repairs due to the absence of cable. Due to this, the colony remained dark the whole night and the power supply could not be restored even till 2 pm on Monday. Let us tell you that recently, due to a fault, the wires broke and fell in Sundar Nagar of Ashoka Garden. A doctor died after coming in contact with them.
Vishal Tolani, who lives in Chanakyapuri Colony near Gate No. 1 of Minal Residency, said that he is a businessman by profession. He was at home with his family at 10:30 pm on Sunday night. Just then, there was a loud bang and the power went off. When he came out, he saw sparks coming out of the electric pole.
Within no time, a huge fire broke out in the electric cable. This terrified the residents and people removed their vehicles from the vicinity but could not remove anything due to fear. People informed the electricity company over phone about the fire in the cable but the team did not come for several hours. By then the power had been switched off and the fire had also subsided. It was fortunate that the cable did not break and fall and no untoward incident occurred.
The team arrived but no improvement could be made
Vishal Tolani said that the team of the electricity company arrived late at night but they did not have the cable. Due to this, they did not do any repair work. Due to this, the power supply could not be started throughout the night on Sunday and till 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday. He said that the power cable installed here has become very old and such a situation has arisen due to the high load on the transformer.

Due to a fault in the power cable in Chanakyapuri, a spark came out and a fire broke out. To avoid any accident in the area, the lights were kept off at night. On Monday, the maintenance team replaced the cable and the power was turned on in the afternoon.
