The authorities questioned Krishna for over 17 hours, examining his bank records, call history, and any links he might have had with a person connected to the AIADMK party. The investigation began to focus on Krishna after the arrest of a drug supplier named Pradeep, who alleged that he provided drugs to an individual who previously worked in the IT wing of the AIADMK.
Krishna comes from a well-known film family; his father is a senior producer, and his brother is a successful film director. He began his career as a child artist in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Anjali’ (1990). He also appeared in films like ‘Iruvar’ and ‘The Terrorist’. Following a stint in the corporate world, he made a comeback to acting in 2008 with his father’s film ‘Alibaba’. He is known for his performances in ‘Kazhugu,’ ‘Yaamirukka Bayamey,’ ‘Vanavarayan Vallavarayan,’ ‘Pandigai,’ ‘Vizhithiru,’ and ‘Yakkai’. Krishna’s personal life includes a divorce in 2014 and a marriage in June 2025. The arrest of Srikanth led to Krishna’s involvement in the case. He was reportedly caught by special police teams while trying to flee to Kerala. The police are meticulously examining his financial records and connections. A key piece of evidence is the statement by drug supplier Prashanth, who said that Srikanth purchased cocaine during the filming of ‘Theingarai’ and that he and Krishna used drugs together at several parties in Chennai.
