Tata Sierra’s testing phase is nearing completion, with the market launch slated for the next few months. Spy photos depict a camouflaged test vehicle showcasing a boxy stance, a shark fin antenna, and flush door handles, indicating the base variant due to the steel wheels and hubcaps. The top-tier production models are expected to come equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels.

The wheel arch cladding, the high-set bonnet, and the unique curved-over rear window all contribute to its striking appearance. The SUV is set to feature a split headlamp design at the front, paired with a connected LED light strip at the rear.

Inside, the Tata Sierra is expected to have a three-screen setup, with one screen measuring approximately 12.3 inches. One screen will be dedicated to the infotainment system, another to the instrument cluster, and a third for the front passengers. Additional features may include a dual-tone dashboard, a Harman sound system, a four-spoke steering wheel borrowed from the Harrier EV, an illuminated Tata logo, and ambient lighting.

Some premium features, such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and Level 2 ADAS, may not be included in the base variant of the Tata Sierra. Other features could encompass a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, and electronic stability control.

Initially, the Tata Sierra will be offered with an electric powertrain derived from the Harrier EV. The Harrier EV utilizes a 65kWh battery with a single motor and a 75kWh battery pack available with both single and dual motor configurations. The smaller battery variant is estimated to have a range of 538 km, while the larger battery variants could achieve 627 km (75kWh RWD) and 622 km (75kWh AWD).

The ICE-based Sierra, featuring brand-new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0L diesel engines, is anticipated to launch early next year. Additionally, the SUV model lineup will be augmented by a new, more powerful 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine.
