A game-changing trilateral MoU promises to redefine India’s iron ore export landscape. Adani Ports and SEZ, via its subsidiary Adani Gangavaram Port Limited, has partnered with NMDC and Vale Brazil to pioneer an SEZ-based iron ore ecosystem at Gangavaram.
Sealed at the India-Brazil Business Forum amid President Lula’s visit—with Minister Piyush Goyal in attendance—the deal highlights surging bilateral momentum.
‘We’re crafting agile infrastructure to cement India’s supply chain supremacy,’ declared APSEZ CEO Ashwini Gupta. ‘Merging top-tier mineral logistics and port prowess will satisfy sector needs while propelling economic momentum nationwide.’
The venture will deliver a fully integrated SEZ ecosystem: blending iron ore, adding value, and enabling commercialization. This east coast powerhouse aims to amplify efficiency, volume, and competitive prowess in mineral trade and processing.
Port capacity hits 75 MMT, crowning Gangavaram as the go-to export gateway. Teaming with NMDC and Vale ensures a cutting-edge, green ecosystem for regional iron ore dynamics.
Gangavaram leads the charge as India’s pioneer in servicing Valemax VLOCs (400,000 DWT giants). Expect mechanized berths, seamless cargo ops, smart yard control, precision blending, and high-speed loading—slashing turnaround times and elevating supply chain standards across the board.
