NASA’s beloved mascot Rise, a zero-gravity indicator for Artemis II, made a memorable stop at the Canadian Space Agency headquarters. The agency posted a lively video showing the mascot moving through the building, beginning at the front doors where it examined a scale model of Canadarm2. Rise then visited the robotics operations room and the astronaut training center, pausing for a light exercise routine in the gym. The day concluded in the library, where the mascot appeared to gather new ideas. Designed by California student Lucas after winning an international competition, Rise carries an SD card storing the names of over five million people who registered for NASA’s Send Your Name with Artemis program. The plush toy accompanied the Artemis II crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—on their historic journey to demonstrate when the spacecraft leaves Earth’s gravity.
