India’s fuel supply remains robust against international headwinds. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry revealed Wednesday that 87.28 lakh domestic LPG cylinders were delivered nationwide over the past two days, aligning with 88.82 lakh bookings. A stringent 95% OTP-based delivery system has minimized distribution discrepancies.

Middle East volatility hasn’t impacted supplies, which stay normalized. Cooking gas bookings are now 99% digital, with zero reports of distributor shortages. Notably, 1.2 lakh compact 5-kg cylinders were dispensed, aided by 10,400 awareness drives by PSUs since April 3 for migrant communities.

Commercial LPG dispatched topped 15,900 metric tons, akin to 8.37 lakh 19-kg units. Sales planning involves IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL leaders collaborating with states. PNG progress is impressive: 6.31 lakh operational connections, 2.67 lakh prepped, plus 6.93 lakh new sign-ups, nearing 9 lakh total.

Anti-hoarding measures are aggressive—2,100 raids Tuesday yielded fines for 366 and suspensions for 75 distributors. Retail petrol-diesel prices are unchanged, stocks plentiful. Full-capacity refineries, enhanced LPG production, and crude buffers ensure continuity, even if Hormuz Strait faces closure risks.

The appeal is clear: No hoarding, use official apps for LPG, trust verified info. This proactive stance guarantees household energy needs are met without interruption.
