The Modi-Schoof dialogue spotlighted AI’s role in fostering economic and social progress. Both leaders recommitted to the prompt rollout of the India-EU FTA, while identifying synergies in technology, innovation, and business expansion. Counter-terrorism unity emerged as a resolute priority.
Underpinning India-Netherlands relations are common democratic principles and broad sectoral partnerships, notably their water strategy. This encompasses flood management tech, clean water innovations, and collaborative research, yielding tangible benefits worldwide.
In parallel, Modi’s exchange with Parmelin advanced the India-EFTA TEPA framework, active since October 1, granting Indian sectors unprecedented access to EFTA markets. Emphasis was placed on trade, investments, AI innovation, and creating high-quality jobs for young talent.
