Around 87% of homes have a single AC unit, while 13% have more than two. Annually, eight out of ten ACs older than five years require refilling, and a third of newer machines also need gas refilling due to leakage. This issue is particularly prevalent in major cities such as Jaipur (88%), Delhi (78%), Pune (81%), and Chennai (73%).
