A new chapter in luxury automotive manufacturing unfolded in Ranipet as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin cut the ribbon for the Tata-JLR plant on Monday. This high-tech venture underscores the state’s strategic pivot towards global competitiveness in vehicle production.
Stalin’s address painted Tata as India’s industrial beacon, with enduring bonds to Tamil Nadu. Excelling in steel, tech, aviation, autos, FMCG, hotels, and telecom, Tata exemplifies a homegrown multinational. ‘Tamil Nadu tops the charts in auto manufacturing and is charging ahead in EVs,’ Stalin proclaimed, crediting the state’s rich industrial DNA.
Choosing Tamil Nadu for this facility is a national triumph, set to produce elite Jaguar models and debut local Range Rover assembly. Stalin asserted that vehicles from here will grace international roads, validating the state’s world-ready manufacturing prowess.
The CM spotlighted inclusive development across districts under the Dravidian framework, blending economic surge with justice and gender upliftment. He lauded Industry Minister TRB Raja for seamless execution, emphasizing implementation over mere attraction of funds.
Extending thanks to Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, Stalin called for additional plants and innovation hubs. Tamil Nadu’s ace infrastructure, serene atmosphere, and expert labor force make it investment magnet. ‘We’re fully committed to partnering for success,’ he vowed, targeting Tata’s top spot in the group’s expansion plans.
