Windows 11 users are poised to receive a collection of new AI features through Copilot, expanding the operating system’s capabilities. Central to this update is the Copilot Vision tool, which can analyze the content visible on a user’s screen. This allows users to ask questions about the information presented or across multiple applications. Copilot can also be used to perform tasks such as improving image quality. The release follows Microsoft’s findings that a significant portion of users are already incorporating generative AI in their work and personal projects. The AI agent will be accessible via the Settings app for those using Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs. Further enhancements encompass an AI sticker generator within Paint, a tool for selecting and editing objects within images, an AI lighting option in Photos, and a function for taking flawless screenshots. These features, along with others like a color picker for the Snipping Tool and an automatic restart fix, are scheduled to begin rolling out in August.
