The United States, a country that often intervenes in international conflicts to stop them, is now facing two new geopolitical challenges. President Trump has previously stated that he halted several wars, but the US is now facing a growing confrontation from Venezuela and North Korea.

Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro has put his 4.5-million strong militia on alert, stating no foreign power will touch its soil. Simultaneously, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un views the recent joint military exercises conducted by the United States and South Korea as an act of war, and has called for an increase in nuclear weapons production.
