A major terror network operating across multiple states has been significantly disrupted with the arrest of a Lucknow-based woman doctor. Dr. Shaheen has been taken into custody for her alleged role in a conspiracy involving Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The arrest was precipitated by the discovery of an AK-47 rifle inside a car registered in her name. This breakthrough follows last week’s extensive recovery of 360 kilograms of explosives and a collection of weapons from a house rented by Dr. Muzammil Shakil, a physician from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, who was reportedly teaching at Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad. Dr. Shaheen is the eighth individual apprehended in connection with the terror module, which is believed to have links to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH). Notably, she is the third doctor arrested in this case. She has since been transferred to Srinagar for interrogation. The successful operation was a collaborative effort between the Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana police departments, working in tandem with central intelligence agencies. Furthermore, investigators located an additional 2,563 kilograms of ammonium nitrate at another property rented by Dr. Shakil, leading to the questioning of the property’s owner.
