Tesla is increasing its investment in India’s electric vehicle market by opening its second retail centre in the country. The new Tesla Experience Centre is scheduled to launch on August 11 at the WorldMark 3 campus in Aerocity, Delhi. The centre will serve customers in the National Capital Region, an area central to India’s electric vehicle push. This follows the recent opening of the first showroom in Mumbai at the Maker Maxity Mall on July 15. The Mumbai launch was attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who welcomed Tesla’s entry into the state and invited the company to establish R&D and manufacturing facilities. The Aerocity centre is nearing completion of construction, with an estimated monthly rent of approximately Rs 25 lakh. The brand’s premium image is reflected in images of the outlet that have already appeared on social media. The Model Y is the only model currently available in India, with prices beginning at Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Tesla has updated its website to allow vehicle registration across all states and union territories, broadening its reach beyond initial cities. The optional Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature, priced at Rs 6 lakh, is listed on the website, but it will be rolled out in India later.
