Texas law enforcement has arrested Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, an Afghan national, after he posted a video on TikTok allegedly showing him assembling a bomb. The content of the video pointed to the Fort Worth area as a potential target. Alokozay’s entry into the U.S. was facilitated by Operation Allies Welcome, a program for Afghan evacuees. He is currently facing state charges related to terroristic threats. The arrest was executed by a joint task force comprising state and federal agents. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also lodged a detainer against him. This event transpires amidst heightened security awareness, following a recent shooting incident near the White House involving another individual with Afghan ties.
