Chief Minister Shri Sai participated in the Shri Vishnu Mahayagna in Gram Gahra: Blessed newlywed couples in a mass wedding.

Raipur, February 11, 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today visited Sant Gahra Guru Ashram in Gram Gahra, located in the Lailunga area of Raigarh district. There, he offered flowers to the portrait of the revered Gahra Guru Ji, received blessings, and participated in the Shri Vishnu Mahayagna, praying for the happiness and prosperity of the state’s residents. On this occasion, he also paid homage by offering floral tributes at the Samadhi site of Sant Gahra Guru Ji.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that he has a deep personal connection with Gram Gahra, the birthplace of the revered Sant Gahra Guru Ji and a sacred place. He recalled that he first gained the privilege of becoming a Member of Parliament from the Raigarh parliamentary constituency due to the blessings of this sacred land. He mentioned that during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister, MPs were asked to adopt a village in their constituency for development work. He chose Gram Gahra and undertook development projects there, although some remained incomplete. Upon returning to Gram Gahra as Chief Minister, he said that this might be an opportunity to complete those unfinished tasks.

Chief Minister Shri Sai commended the contribution of the Gahra Guru Sant Samaj to Sanatan Dharma and social upliftment. He said that there was a time when religious conversions, social evils, and addiction were increasing among the tribal community. Then, Sant Gahra Guru Ji took up the task of social reform, conducted Yagnas (religious ceremonies) in villages, organized recitations of Ramcharitmanas, and spiritually awakened society. He said that today this organization is working throughout the state to strengthen Sanatan Dharma, raise social awareness, and encourage Sanskrit education. The Chief Minister also praised the fact that through this organization, tribal children are studying Sanskrit, and schools and colleges are being run, a commendable initiative in the promotion of Sanatan culture.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Lord Shri Ram spent most of his 14 years of exile in Chhattisgarh, evidence of which still exists in various parts of the state. Inviting the people of the state to the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, he said that the Chhattisgarh government has made complete arrangements for the accommodation of devotees. He stated that the state is prioritizing sustainable development and good governance so that every citizen benefits from prosperity and good governance.

Chief Minister Shri Sai participated in the mass wedding ceremony organized in Gram Gahra, introduced himself to the newlywed couples, and blessed them with a happy married life.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the blessings of Sant Gahra Guru Ji, the work of good governance and development continues in Chhattisgarh. Our government is determined to take Chhattisgarh to new heights of development while preserving the state’s culture and spiritual traditions.

On this occasion, Sant Samaj organization president Shri Babruvahan Maharaj, secretary Shri Khirendra Maharaj, Ravi Bhagat, Shanta Bhagat, Manoj Satpati, Bhaskar Behera, Madhukar Singhania, and other dignitaries were present.
