    Raipur, 20 December 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the Vir Bal Rally organized by the Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission. He launched the rally from Marine Drive in Raipur by waving the green flag. The grand rally saw participation of over 5,000 school students, scouts, guides, and NCC cadets. Adventurous activities such as Gataka that showcase Sikh tradition’s bravery, cultural presentations and inspiring displays linked the audience on a deep emotional level.

    Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that on 26 December, as Vir Bal Day, we pay homage to the unique sacrifices of the Sahibzadas of the Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji – Baba Jorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji. He added that the unparalleled courage, faith and sacrifice demonstrated by Sahibzadas at the tender ages of nine and seven is exemplary in human history.

    The Chief Minister further explained that even at such a young age, Sahibzadas did not bow to any pressure, did not deviate from their faith, and made the supreme sacrifice to protect religion and truth. This sacrifice is not only for the Sikh community but also a source of inspiration for all humanity. Shri Sai said that this glorious tradition of Sikhism is a source of pride for all of us. Introducing Sahibzadas’ sacrifices and values to the new generation is our moral duty. He added that the initiative taken by the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate Vir Bal Day at the national level since 2022 is highly commendable. It has strengthened the sense of valor, courage and patriotism among children and youth.

    Chief Minister said that when we look at the lives of Sahibzadas, we take pride in the values and teachings given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He established the Khalsa Panth and showed the path of struggle against injustice and tyranny. His inspiring lines “I will fight a thousand battles, I will fight against scuffles, and I will be known as Guru Gobind Singh” still awaken the sense of courage and struggle within every Indian.

    He emphasized that these lines teach us that it is not means but courage and resolve that pave the path to victory. The land of India is blessed with such great gurus and Sahibzadas. He congratulated the Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission and the Department of Education for this historic event and offered his best wishes.

    Cabinet Minister Shri Khushwant Saheb said that the sacrifice of Sahibzadas shows us the path of bravery, integrity and patriotism. Their lives are a source of inspiration for every generation.

    Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission, Shri Amarjeet Chaubada, informed the audience about the historic episodes of Sahibzadas’ martyrdom.

    On this occasion, Raipur Uttar MLA Shri Puran Chand Mishra, Kreda Chairman Shri Bhupendra Savani, CGMSC Chairman Shri Deepak Mhaske, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Child Protection Commission Dr. Varunika Sharma, along with senior representatives of the Sikh community, social workers and officials of various social institutions were present in large numbers.
