    Highlights

    30 cows are reaching the shelter and hospital every day. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Harendra Narayan gave instructions. Traffic is obstructed due to cows coming on the roads.

    Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. The number of cattle on the city roads is increasing since the onset of rains. This is the reason why their number is also increasing at the city’s veterinary hospitals and shelters. In such a situation, Bhopal Municipal Corporation has appealed to the owners who abandon the cattle not to leave them open like this after use.

    Also, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Harendra Narayan has instructed to catch the animals roaming freely on the streets and send them to Kanj Houses and Gaushalas. Apart from this, action should be taken against animal keepers who do not follow the instructions given by the National Green Tribunal.

    The Municipal Corporation Commissioner reviewed the increasing number of stray cattle in the city during the rainy season and said that due to them traffic is obstructed and the common people are facing problems. Accidents are also taking place due to cattle on the roads.

    In which, along with the citizens getting injured, the incidents of cows getting injured are also increasing continuously. On an average, 30 cows are being sent to shelters and veterinary hospitals for treatment every day by the Gauvardhan Project branch of Bhopal Municipal Corporation. Whereas earlier this number was around 10. Even after increasing three times, there is no improvement. Cows are seen on the roads everywhere in the city.
