Lucknow. The PIL filed against Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya for his statement that the organization is bigger than the government was heard in the High Court on Wednesday. The court has reserved its decision in this matter. The division bench of Chief Justice Arun Bhasali and Justice Vikas Wednesday heard the counsel of the petitioner on the constitutional aspect of this statement of the Deputy Chief Minister. After hearing the counsel of the petitioner, the court neither asked anything from the government to know their stand on this matter, nor issued any notice to the Deputy CM. The court said that it will pass an appropriate order on this petition.

Let us tell you that the petition has been filed by advocate Manjesh Kumar Yadav. According to the petition, on July 14, the Deputy CM had given a statement on the government and the organization. In which he had described the organization as bigger. The petitioner has said that Keshav Maurya’s statement that the organization is bigger than the government, reduces the dignity of his post. Also, it raises doubts on the transparency of the government.

    Criminal history also mentioned

The petition also mentions Keshav Maurya’s criminal history. It was said that before being made the Deputy Chief Minister, 7 criminal cases were registered against him. Advocate Manjesh Yadav argues that it is wrong to appoint a person with such a record to a constitutional post.

Deputy CM Keshav Maurya gave a statement on the poor performance of BJP in UP in the Lok Sabha elections. Late night after the meeting of the working committee in Lucknow, Deputy CM Maurya wrote on social media – The organization was bigger than the government, is bigger and will always be. I am the Deputy Chief Minister later, first I am a worker. The doors of my house are open for everyone.

The matter had reached the high command

This tussle going on in Lucknow reached Delhi. From 27th July, BJP ruled Chief Ministers held a meeting with PM Modi for two days in Delhi. Deputy CMs Keshav and Brajesh Pathak were also seen in this meeting along with CM Yogi. Later, there was a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and National President JP Nadda. In the meeting, instructions were given to reduce the tussle. No baseless statements should be made.
