Navdunia representative, Harda: The police found the youth, whose murder was suspected by his family eleven years ago, from Delhi. The 39-year-old youth was living in Delhi under the name of Anguri Kinnar. This unique case of murder and disappearance is from the Rahatgaon police station area of the district. While the family is happy with the return of the youth, the accused of murder heaved a sigh of relief.

The police team investigated in 10 months

A seven-member police team formed under the leadership of Timarni SDOP Akanksha Talya solved the case in about ten months. SP Abhinav Chaukse and SDOP Talya gave information about the case in a press conference held in the police control room on Saturday evening. SDOP Talya said that a team formed under the leadership of Rahatgaon police station in-charge Manvendra Singh Bhadoria found the youth from Delhi and brought him to Harda.

The youth went missing in 2013

In July 2013, a missing person report was filed and the search for Raj Singh (name changed) was started. When no information was received about the missing person, the father filed a complaint in the Special Sessions Court, Harda. Five villagers of the same village were accused of murdering the youth and destroying evidence and hiding the body.

File closed due to lack of evidence

The court ordered an investigation by registering a case according to the facts in August 2017. When no evidence was found regarding the murder of the missing person, the case was closed in August 2019. The father, not being satisfied with the police action, rejected the closure in February 2023 and demanded a fresh investigation. After this, the file was reopened and the investigation of the case was started.

    Lifestyle was like eunuch

SDOP Talya said that he got the investigation of the case in September 2023. In the investigation, the relatives of the missing person, villagers and suspects were questioned again but success was not achieved. When people were questioned, it was found that the lifestyle and way of talking of the missing person was like that of a eunuch. Due to this, people in the village also teased him.

    Interrogation of transgender gangs

Police interrogated transgender groups of nearby districts including Harda by showing them the photographs and pamphlets of the missing persons. Police found out that the missing person is alive and is living as a transgender in different areas of Delhi and Punjab.

After this, a police team reached Delhi and took the missing person to Harda. The youth requested the police not to reveal his real identity in the media. That is why the police gave a changed name.
