7 flop cricketers of 2024: The year 2024 was like a nightmare for many famous cricketers in terms of performance. Many other stars including India’s legendary players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma could not perform up to their potential. This year, he not only disappointed his fans but also did not live up to the expectations of his team. However, everyone hopes that these players will make a great comeback in 2025. But before that, let’s take a look at the 7 most unsuccessful legendary cricketers of 2024.

    Virat Kohli

The year 2024 was contrary to expectations for Indian cricket’s legendary batsman Virat Kohli. He scored a total of 655 runs in 32 innings across all three formats, in which his average was 21.83. During this period, only one century and two half-centuries came from his bat.

    Rohit Sharma

Team India captain Rohit Sharma also failed to leave his mark this year. He played a total of 28 matches in all formats and scored 1154 runs, which included only two centuries. Even though Rohit led India to the T20 World Cup title, individually he was seen struggling with the bat.

    Babar Azam

The performance in Test cricket was very disappointing for Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam. He played 34 matches in all formats and scored 1114 runs. However, his average remained only 32.76. This year Babar did not score any century, although he did score eight half-centuries.

    quinton dekock

South Africa’s star wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock’s performance in T20 cricket in 2024 was very lackluster. He scored only 307 runs in 12 matches and his average was 25.58.

    Gerald Coetzee

South Africa’s young fast bowler Gerald Coetzee also could not make an impact this year. He played a total of 7 matches in all formats and took only 10 wickets. The lack of consistency in his performance was clearly visible.

    Abrar Ahmed

Pakistan’s mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed did not live up to the expectations this year. He took only 20 wickets in 13 matches including all formats. His performance, especially in the Tests, was disappointing, due to which he had to look for a way out of the team.

    Nazmul Hussain Shanto

2024 was also not special for Bangladesh batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto. He scored 961 runs in 34 matches in all three formats, in which his average was only 25. His performance in Tests was even worse, where he scored only 317 runs in 8 matches at an average of 21. Shanto could not show any special feat even in captaincy.
