Traditionally, the most recently retired Navy chief functions as chairman of the foundation. However, BJP’s Kirit Somaiya thought otherwise and decided to be a star himself. Somaiya, 70, was part of a 2.5 tier pyramid that was formed to ensure his balance with four people holding him. Not content with this, Somaiya then attempted to break the pot with his bare hands. After trying twice, he gave up and used a coconut to break the pot.
