    Naiduniya News, Balaghat: A tiger attacked a woman in the core area of ​​Kanha Tiger Reserve. After injuring the woman, the tiger dragged her into the forest. The woman had gone to the forest with two other women on Monday to collect pihri. Her body was recovered on Tuesday. The body has been handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.

    The tiger fled after the attack

    Three women from Khapa had gone to the forest to collect pihri on Monday at 11 am. During this time, all the women were collecting vegetables and pihri separately. Between three and four in the afternoon, Kalavati was attacked by a tiger. Hearing the sound, the other two women ran and made noise, then the tiger fled from the spot.

    The tiger dragged the woman into the forest

    Both the women picked up the injured Kalavati and brought her some distance. After that they went to call other people in the village. By the time people from the village came to pick up the woman, the tiger dragged the injured woman inside the forest. The relatives informed the forest department and the police station Baihar about this.

    Attack in Kanha Tiger Reserve

    Police said that a tiger killed a woman in the forest of Khapa. When villagers searched the forest, one hand and one leg of the deceased were found. The body was handed over to the relatives after conducting a post-mortem in Baihar.

    According to SDO Ajay Thakur, Kalavati Dhurve along with her companions had entered the core area of ​​Kanha Tiger Reserve unauthorisedly and was plucking Dhobi Bhaji and wild Pihari. At that time, they encountered a tiger. Since it was night time, the team could not search for the missing woman.
