Korba/Janjgir. In Chhattisgarh, 9 people died due to poisonous gas in wells in two separate incidents on Friday. 5 people died in Janjgir-Champa and 4 in Korba district. CM Vishnudev Sai expressed grief over the two incidents and announced compensation to the families of the deceased.
Raipur. ACB has arrested Raipur Mahila Thana TI Vedvati Dariyo red handed while taking a bribe of Rs. 20,000 in the name of registering a crime in dowry harassment case in the capital Raipur. The Mahila Thana in-charge had demanded Rs. 50,000 from the applicant Preeti Banjare in the name of registering an FIR against her husband. After which a deal was struck with the woman for Rs. 35,000.
Raipur. An employee committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of Paryavas Bhawan located in Nava Raipur. This incident happened on Friday morning. This incident has been captured in CCTV camera. Police is investigating the matter.
Dhamtari. Anti Corruption Bureau raided the Tehsil office today. A Naib Tehsildar was caught red handed taking bribe. According to the information received, the Naib Tehsildar had demanded a bribe of 50 thousand rupees to dismiss the land possession case. The victim had complained about this to the ACB.
