An alarming incident of violence occurred in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where traffic police personnel were subjected to a brutal attack by auto rickshaw drivers. The assault happened at Kathal More, within the Nagri police station area. A video documenting the incident has been widely circulated, revealing the severity of the attack.
It is reported that the attack involved several auto drivers who used stones to assault the traffic police officers. One officer, identified as Rohit Ganjhu, was severely injured, sustaining a head injury, and was promptly taken to RIMS hospital in Ranchi for treatment.
The auto drivers fled the scene after the assault, and the police have initiated a search operation to apprehend them. The Ranchi Traffic SP has assured that strong action will be taken against those involved. The investigation is underway under the supervision of the Nagri police station in-charge.
