An 18-year-old woman from Rajasthan was rescued at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, escaping a potential trafficking situation. The immigration department and Delhi Police intervened before she could depart for Oman, where she was allegedly to be sold by her boyfriend. The woman had been enticed by a 35-year-old man named Mohammed Islam, who promised her a luxurious lifestyle in Muscat via online interactions. He arranged for her passport and flight. She departed from Churu with cash and jewelry, without informing her family. After her family reported her missing, police tracked her to the airport and, with assistance from the embassy and Delhi Police, secured her rescue just before the flight’s scheduled departure.
