The training program for District Art and Culture officials, organized by the Art, Culture, and Youth Department of the Bihar government, culminated at the Dashrath Manjhi Labour Employment Study Institute in Patna. The closing ceremony was marked by enthusiasm and a sense of accomplishment.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, an act performed by N. Vijayalakshmi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, and Pranav Kumar Ray, the Department Secretary, alongside other senior officials.

Vijayalakshmi, during her speech, congratulated the officials and expressed her satisfaction that Bihar’s cultural talents, even from its far-flung areas, would get a platform to shine at national and international levels. She emphasized the need to blend folk and classical arts to pass on the cultural legacy.

Pranav Kumar Ray highlighted the significant knowledge gained by the officials during the intensive three-week training. He stressed that this would empower them to effectively implement departmental schemes at the district level.

All the participating officials were honored with certificates and mementos. The trainees gave presentations on what they learned during the training using PPTs. These presentations covered topics such as connecting youth with arts, the role of museums, cultural development through films, folk music, and the idea of ‘every house an art’.

Ruby, the Director of Cultural Works, encouraged the officials, assuring them that they were now equipped to manage their departmental tasks efficiently. The closing ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Anil Kumar Singh. The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Internal Financial Advisor Rana Sujit Kumar Tuntun, Special Officer Kahkashan, Film Consultant Arvind Ranjan Das, Public Relations Officer Nupur Jha, and a large number of other officials.
