Treatment of Padma Vibhushan Tijan Bai started in AIIMS on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai.

Raipur, 23 December 2024/ Chhattisgarh’s identity and the country’s second highest honor Padma Vibhushan, Mrs. Teejan Bai, has started treatment at AIIMS. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai had instructed the Health Department to make arrangements for proper and better treatment of Teejan Bai as soon as he got information about her illness. In this context, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal had also come to meet Teejan Bai to get information about her health and also provided financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh. During this time, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal had instructed the Health Department to provide motorized remote control automatic bed, bed table and wheel chair for Teejan Bai at home. Following the instructions, the Health Department has provided these essential items for Teejan Bai. Along with this, a medical officer and a physiotherapist have also been appointed to look after Teejan Bai. A team of doctors examines his health once a day at his home and prepares a medical report.
