Donald Trump has asserted he prevented a nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan. He stated that the situation was rapidly escalating and close to triggering a nuclear war. In his remarks, Trump revised the previously reported number of jets shot down to seven. He explained that he used trade measures and tariffs to pressure both nations to end the fighting. The former President suggested his actions averted a major crisis. These comments followed a briefing by US Vice President JD Vance, who defended the use of sanctions and tariffs as a means of economic pressure. Trump further claimed that he stopped a total of seven wars using trade measures during his tenure.
