Following the Alaska summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump refuted the notion of a ‘major defeat.’ On Truth Social, Trump dismissed reports from various news sources, calling them ‘Fake News,’ regarding the summit’s outcome. He stated the location of the summit was a key issue. Trump also criticized Democrats, accusing them of wanting more crime in cities. He said he would ensure the safety of cities. The Alaska Summit, aimed at addressing the conflict in Ukraine, had just concluded. Trump described the day as a success, emphasizing the importance of a ‘peace agreement.’ He noted positive discussions with President Putin and phone calls with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, European leaders, and the NATO Secretary General, who all agreed that a peace agreement was the best way to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
