The Alaska Summit, aimed at addressing the conflict in Ukraine, had just concluded. Trump described the day as a success, emphasizing the importance of a ‘peace agreement.’ He noted positive discussions with President Putin and phone calls with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, European leaders, and the NATO Secretary General, who all agreed that a peace agreement was the best way to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
