Trump: Zelensky and Putin to Discuss Ceasefire, Ukraine to Decide

This statement was made after a meeting with Putin in Alaska. Trump urged Zelensky to build on the Alaska discussions and finalize a deal to conclude the three-year war. He stated that Zelensky needs to reach an agreement, acknowledging Russia’s strength. Trump offered to be present at the next meeting if both leaders agreed. Following the Alaska meeting, Trump indicated that the responsibility lies with President Zelensky, and he would urge European countries to take part.
