Eight ADGs will retire between 2025 and January 2027. In return, only three new ADGs will be appointed. There are only that many DIGs to fill the vacant posts.

State Bureau, Naiduniya. Bhopal. Eight ADGs of the Police Headquarters are going to retire between January 2025 and January 2027, but in their place only one officer will be able to become ADG every year during these three years. The reason for this is that there will not be that many DIGs to fill the vacant posts.

This may affect the functioning as one ADG will have charge of two to three branches. This is still the situation in some branches. ADG Welfare Anil Kumar also has charge of Finance and State Industrial Security Force (SSF).

ADG PTRI Anil Gupta has also been given the charge of research and development. ADG (Ajak) Rajesh Gupta and ADG (PTRI) Anil Kumar Gupta are retiring on 30 September. As per rules, DIG will be promoted in their place in January 2024.

Against two posts, only Ujjain DIG Santosh Singh (2000 batch) will be promoted. Reason, he is the only officer in this batch. This situation will continue for three consecutive years. Pramod Kumar Verma of 2001 batch of direct recruitment will become ADG in January 2026 and Abhay Singh of 2002 batch will become ADG in 2027.

Meanwhile, some of Yogesh Mudgal, Pawan Srivastava, Manish Shankar Sharma, DC Sagar, Sonali Mishra, Sanjeev Kumar Shami, Ashutosh Rai and A Sai Manohar will retire as Special DGs while most will retire from the post of ADG. In case of less number of ADGs, a situation may arise in future that some of the 12 posts of Special DG will also remain vacant.
