Two Minors Apprehended in Raipur for ISIS Module Ties

Chhattisgarh ATS has detained two minor boys in Raipur for their alleged affiliation with an ISIS module operating out of Pakistan. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma stated that these individuals were purportedly acting under the direction of ISIS operatives in Pakistan and were actively engaged on social media using fake profiles. The Deputy Chief Minister elaborated that the minors were drawn to extremist content and were seeking to influence others, particularly on Instagram. “They had access to considerable information and were extensively using the internet and social media under the ISIS name,” he reported. This is the first known case of its kind in the state, prompting an enhanced search for similar elements. The minors have been charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Sharma pledged to augment the ATS’s operational capacity throughout Chhattisgarh to identify and neutralize such threats, urging the public to report any instances of anti-national content observed on social media.
