A perplexing incident in Bihar has led to an inquiry after two Pakistani women were found on the draft voter list in Bhagalpur. The women are believed to have been in India for around 70 years. This discovery happened during a verification drive conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The investigation indicated that voter ID cards were created for Imrana Khanam (also known as Imrana Khatoon) and Firdousia Khanam. They were also verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) before the 2025 assembly elections. The Booth Level Officer (BLO) confirmed they were informed by the election department based on a communication from the Home Ministry on August 11.
