Former Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot fired a salvo at electoral malpractices, labeling the excision of legitimate voters from rolls as outright injustice. During a strategy session with Congress BLOs in Tonk for the voter list’s intensive review, he reiterated the Election Commission’s mandate to defend voting rights universally.

‘No circumstance justifies denying any eligible citizen their vote,’ Pilot proclaimed, framing it as an assault on democracy’s cornerstone.

He spotlighted disturbing trends across India, where officials allegedly bend under political pressure to tamper with voter data. Such practices, he said, demand rigorous scrutiny and corrective action.

Pilot invoked Rahul Gandhi’s evidence-based critiques of anomalies, including Bihar’s polls, which have eroded trust in the EC. This makes public and political alertness non-negotiable for safeguarding elections.

Commending Tonk’s ground-level heroes for their resolve and precision, Pilot affirmed their indispensable part in fostering fair play. Until the lists are sealed, he cautioned, diligence is key—no voter should suffer from clerical errors or missing papers.

Urging cadres to support constituents with documentation hurdles, Pilot rallied for proactive defense of democratic integrity.
