    During the High-Level Week of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held discussions. The Russian Embassy in India reported the meeting on X. Separately, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev at the World Food India 2025, where they discussed enhancing cooperation in agriculture, fertilizers, and food processing. Modi expressed his pleasure at the meeting and the potential for strengthened collaboration. A PMO release detailed their exchange of views on fostering cooperation in areas like agriculture, fertilizers, food processing, and other areas of mutual interest. Modi also conveyed warm greetings to President Vladimir Putin, anticipating the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit. Addressing the World Food India 2025, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s appeal to global investors, especially those in the food sector, due to the nation’s diversity, demand, and scale.
