The FASTag annual pass, effective from August 15, 2025, has seen a substantial response across the country. Created by the National Highway Authority of India, the pass aims to improve travel, saving both time and fuel. The annual pass is considered a cost-effective solution for frequent travelers, providing up to 200 toll-free crossings annually instead of paying the standard per-trip toll charges.
Private car, jeep, and van owners can utilize this pass for toll-free travel at specified National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) fee plazas. The pass is valid for a year or a maximum of 200 crossings. The FASTag annual pass was launched on Independence Day this year.
To activate the FASTag annual pass, you can choose between the Rajmargyatra mobile application and the NHAI website. Required documents include the Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), a passport-sized photograph of the vehicle owner, KYC documents, and proof of identity and address.
