Mahindra recently unveiled the Vision S concept SUV, generating significant interest. This new model is likely to join the Mahindra Scorpio lineup, potentially alongside existing models like the Scorpio N and Classic Scorpio. Mahindra also showcased the Vision X, T, and SXT concepts.

The Vision S presents a fresh design. The front showcases LED headlights and a grille with integrated LED elements, along with the Mahindra logo. The bumper includes a radar unit and parking sensors. The SUV features unique design elements, including roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps.

The SUV is designed for off-road readiness, with protective cladding. The Vision S has 19-inch wheels and side-mounted cameras in place of traditional mirrors. The rear design incorporates inverted tail lamps, a reflector, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel with the Vision S branding.

The interior showcases a fresh layout. It includes a new steering wheel featuring VISION S lettering and a fully digital driver’s display. The infotainment system is expected to run Mahindra’s new NU UX system, offering wireless smartphone connectivity. The cabin features dual-tone upholstery, redesigned door trims, premium seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Grab handles are strategically placed for ease of access.

The Vision S, like the Vision T, SXT, and X concepts, is built on Mahindra’s NU-IQ platform. This monocoque platform supports SUVs with lengths between 3,990 mm and 4,320 mm, accommodating petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains. It is compatible with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive layouts.

An internal combustion engine version is likely, possibly powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol or a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Features such as variable-ratio steering are expected to enhance handling.
